Sympathy
It was my birthday wish to see the sun set on the last day of my 58th year, so we went down to the Dana Point headlands to walk in the wildlife reserve and watch the sunset. On our way back to the car, we noticed this lone sailboat, small and bright against the darkening ocean, its sail reflecting the pink and orange and tangerine light of the sun's last rays.
